It's OK to use your credit card when you order from your favorite delivery restaurant, but avoid using the debit option. It's too easy for an unscrupulous person to add an extra charge to it even after you've authorized the initial charge, and this is becoming a common scam.

If you're concerned about the nutritional content of the food that your delivery restaurants serve, ask them to include a nutrition guide when they deliver your order. If they don't offer one, you may be able to find it on their website (assuming they have one).

Don't be alarmed if your delivery restaurant immediately calls you back to verify your order once you've gotten off the phone. This has become standard procedure for many restaurants, especially pizza parlors, because of practical jokes involving food orders.
